Tires?

Ok, so I just purchased some Enkei RP01's for $475 and I need to find some tires for it. The rims are 17x7 +40. I like the way the low-profile tires look. I want to spend between $250-$300 for some decent tires. Anybody got any suggestions? Or had any good experiences with really good tires?

And I got them from a shop here in my city.
I am friends with a guy that owns a shop so I get them for cost.

hook me up, lol.
Ive always heard good things about them, but thought they were more expensive then im kind of willing to spend. But if everyone says they are such great tires, i think i might be willing to shell out a little more then $300.

Exactly...you might have a tough time finding quality 17" tires for under $300 for all 4. If I remember right I paid about $500 for my set.

Didn't post the tires since I don't consider them a mod, but they're currently BF Goodrich g-force T/A KDW-2's. Generally they run around $130-$150 for a 17" wheel depending on the width.

any tire set for 300 is going to be crap-ola.
youre going to need to spend around 500+ for something decent.

Talk to hondaman he might be able to hook u up with a deal. Some great tire brands are Falken, Nitto, Kuhmo, Ventus, I had Nankangs on the integra and havent had problems with them at all but only had them for less then 7months.

Personal preference....stay as far away from Falkens as you can. Their dry traction was sub par, their wet traction was horrible, and snow traction was almost non-existent. Kuhmos are great dry...but have some wet/snow problems. Heard good things about Nankang (or Nanking...whichever) but I've never been in a car that had them.

...just put my 2nd set on the Accord and I paid $840 mounted/balanced. I know I got ass-raped because I found them for about $140 each on www.tirerack.com but I didn't feel like waiting for them and lugging them somewhere to get them mounted.

The Paradas are rated for 30,000 miles and the last set I had lasted exactly 30,000 miles......

Cheaper tires aren't usually as sticky so they do tend to last longer. Just check out the UTQG rating. The higher the rating, the more miles you'll get out of them.

Well, I wont need the tires for winter/snow or whatever. I'm going to use my stock Pirellis for that. They worked pretty well last winter.

So i was thinking Kumho Ecsta, Nitto Nt555, Toyo Proxes, or Falken Azenis. I guess it doesnt really matter on price. I might be able to work them out as a graduation gift from parents and/or family members. I think im going with 215/40/17.

I actually looked up on the Nitto tires. I'm thinking of going with Nitto Neo-gens. 215/40/17

Yoko AVS ES100 are pretty good and probably quite a bit cheaper than the Paradas, but the Paradas are nice as well.

I've got a buddy running the Azenis on his Civic and they have very good dry traction, not sure about wet traction though. They're pretty popular in autocrossing from what I hear.

As for TireRack, if you have the tires drop shipped directly to the installer you don't need to worry about lugging them anywhere.
