Mine:6th closely followed by 5th Gen # Years 1 1972-1979 2 1979-1983 3 1983-1987 4 1987-1991 5 1991-1995 6 1995-1999 7 1999+ |

i say 5th because of the awsome hatch's 4th also for the hatch's and 7th for the coupes. i'm not too crazy about the coupes.

5th and 6th, i like the hatches, the door handels especially of the 5th, and the grill of the 6th.

Pablo, I had overlaps on years to accomadte the early release dates so in effect we have the same dates, thanks for the info on the ECU!

i personally love the 5th gen hatches and coupes (maybe that's cause i owned one of each..
 ) but i also like 6th gen coupes, but i don't like those hatches. |

I gotta say 5th gen, for the little subtleties like the door handles and the side post headrests... nice. also the 5th gens were the first to adopt the smooth curved body style instead of the more square cut of the 4's

I'm sorta partial to the 7th gen....I wouldn't have a clue why though! hehe But I like the 6th and 5th like everyone else as well. The coupes, sedans, and hatches.
