Painting the trimmings of a 94 civic

Whats up people.

I have 1994 honda civic, and I want to get new moldings/trimmings. I went to a couple of autobody places and they told me just to paint the ones that I have because the actual pieces will cost too much . . . bottom strips, mid-door strips, door handle, mirror. . .

Has anyone got this done? If so does the color math up properly or not?

Thanks

I did the bottom molding on my ex (cause they were that annoying dull black while my car was a shiney black) it matched pretty well, but it was black not that hard of a color to match
