Virus.... virus.... f'n... virus!!!!

My PC is getting ready to crash again... Today it got infected with a virus. My wall paper turned black and I cant change it at all. In the middle of my PC wall paper it says this in big bold letters:

YOU'RE IN DANGER!

ALL YOU DO WITH COMPUTER IS STORED FOREVER IN YOUR HARD DISK. WHEN YOU VISIT SITES, SEND EMAILS... ALL YOUR ACTIONS ARE LOGGED. AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE THEM WITH STANDARD TOOLS. YOUR DATA IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR FORENSICS. AND IN SOME CASES FOR YOUR BOSS, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR WIFE, YOUR CHILDREN.

Every site you or somebody or even something, like spyware, opened in your browser, with all images, and all downloaded and maybe later removed movies or mp3 songs - ARE STILL THERE and could broke your life!

SECURE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!
REMOVE ALL SPYWARE FROM YOUR PC!

no matter what Spyware or anti-virus program I toss on that shit, it wont even pick it up and delete it. Some programs like Lavasoft Adaware and SpyBot wont even function at all. Any ideas? Please help!!!!!!!!!

Try Security Task Manager, I forgot how I came upon it but it successfully removed all the spyware that Ad-aware, SWDoctor and Spybot failed to.

Did you try updating your detection rules like using LiveUpdate (if you have Norton AV)? There's a new trojan running around (I think Racing Rice made a post over in Shifting Gears about it today) that I'd guess found it's way onto your computer. Without an update to new definitions your AV program won't pick it up since the virus is new. I doubt it's any type of traditional spyware since spyware generally isn't that invasive. A lot of spyware will give you pop-ups like that...saying that your shit is infected and to go here for a program to get rid of them, but I've never seen one so invasive it installs itself to your desktop. Read Racing's post over in SG and see if that's possibly what you've got. You might also try Miscrosoft's new Anti-spyware scanner. I know Aaron's been talking about how good it is and I'm loving it, too. It's still in beta, but it's working great on my comp. Good luck mang.

Hmmmm...did you update all of your anti virus stuff and try using Microsoft's anti-spyware thingy or Spybot S&D v1.3? Viruses don't go away on their own, you know.

well there you go. you just found out why you have this "virus". Porn sites utilize some of the most advanced exploits and other web technology to get on your computer. Its all really ingenious, but that doesn't help you.

Backup your pr0n (on cds or dvds) and blow that shit away. Its not worth your time to try to remove all that crap.

This is true...but knowing Arnel he probably got most of his shit from either BT or some other filesharing utility. Not that all of that stuff is void or problems, but most of it comes in the form of site rips that are usually pretty safe (I've found that BT is especially good about not having spyware...at least the tracker I use).

Arnel...I don't know why I didn't ask before, but was any of this porn downloaded in the form of a self extracting archive (like an rar or zip file) off of a BT tracker? I know the Pirate Bay has had a big problem lately with people putting up torrents as self extracting archives that were nothing BUT spyware and viruses.

ha ha....

Yeah, I tried tossing every spyware I can DL on this shit. None of it would pick it up.

I honestly havent been to any porn sites in a looooong time, especially before the virus came up. But like Steve said, I do go to alot of torrent/fileshare sites.

drdingo, thanks for the offer man. i will consider that for sure. It might take until towards the end of the month for me to decide tho cuz I need the computer while I'm ashore....
