What to do to my DX?
Sup guys, I've had my car for like 2 years now, dark blue 94 DX. I've only upgraded the ignition stuff (wires, sparkplugs ect.) What should i do next... I'm gonna get a AEM short Ram Intake once i get my taxes, as well as a new clutch and new muffler, any suggestions on what i should do next?? I'm also gonna go for exterior looks. GOnna buy those JDM headlights that are pretty much the stock ones but they have the black housing and some aftermarket taillights. Any little things i could buy to feel improvments in my car? Not looking in spending alot of money on it either, well maybe a little...all seggestions are appreciated, Thanx

Get a cold air intake, not a short ram. Don't mess with a muffler, you need a whole cat-back to get performance. Muffler just changes sound pretty much. Get a header to match the I/E and you'll be making a little more ower.

its all your taste (and money). i did mostly cosmetic changes to mine so far cuz i had to, like some gauges (s7's are the best!!! click here) taillights clear corners and bumpers, pretty soon i will paint it and tint the windows. Maybe you want to put a spoiler or a body kit, dont really know.

Oh yeah i forgot to ask, 94_accord_ex, where is the cheapest place to buy a cold air, the best i've seen is 190, would it be cheaper to get a short ram and just buy a extension??

Hmm... send a PM to hondaman-iac and see what kind of price he can get you (probably a good one). Other than that, you could try www.groupbuycenter.com You have to just buy the CAI, no extensions... and $190 isn't a bad price.

Putting them in isn't to hard, but time consuming. My gauges didnt need double sided tape or glue either because theyre the same size as the stock gauges, not just face circles. I bumped the needles too many times to count and had no problem. i heard what everyone said about the gas needle messing up so i made sure i put the needle back to where it was and it works fine. Cheapest place to get them is autodynamic.com and they are the best looking gauges out there. |

Since your putting in a new clutch get a lighter flywheel while your at it. Clutch masters has them for like 190 or so. Get teh cold air too its worth it. Get a4-2-1 header and get a catback exhaust 2 1/4 inch piping. Greddy evo is my fav and it sounds awsome Aem underdrive pulleys are cheap and pretty good you get better gains from those than a header.

I got like 800 to spend on once i get my taxes, this summer is when 100% of my earning from work goes to my car. I was even thinking about asking for a H22A engine as a pre-xmas present. I dought it though. Yeah i deff want the intake and gauges for now. Once i start gettting in some dough then i'll be getting the headers and exhaust. Pulleys too. This car will be sick looking once it's done. I'm gonna keep the same exterior color (dark blue) and get JDM headlights and euro tails with black housing. Also gonna ask for rims and clutch for b-day this spring .

if you dont wanna pay $190 for a CAI, you can make your own using jcwhitneys mandrel tubes, and end up pay about 70 and you can say you made it yourself. great plans are here:
