I just disconnect my battery cables for about 30 minutes, then reattach the cables. When I start my motor, I don't touch the throttle for 5 minutes or so. I use that time to reset my radio stations. That's about it...

also......sometimes if the check engine light comes on, you need to drive the car on "three trips" is what they recommend....that means you have to start the car.....drive it.........shut it off.....and then do it again multiple times.....it should go out after that

pull the ecu fuse (15a) and the back up fuse (7.5a), wait 15 sec, reinstall the fuses, and your're done. if the MIL is gone, wait for like 5 min or so and dont step on the gas. after that, shut the engine off..this resets the memory of the ecu to maximize the mixture of gas and air. if MIL is still on, you might want to check the code it's throwing...

This is the way I do it also... If you need to know how to check the code look in the Step By Step forum, I put instructions out there.
