Iddle drops too low

When I stop at a light, iddle speed drops, the engine almost stops, and then goes up and a couple of seconds later stabilizes. Any Idea what could this be. When engine is cold, idle speed is around 800 for a little while and then goes to around 1200. Is this normal? Should I check the idle speed? How do I adjust it? I think there's a screw in the throttle body for idle adjustment but does not seem to help, idle speed varies but the problem continues. Should the IACV need to be adjusted too? How?

It's a manual, it does in gear (clutch deppresed of course) or neutral. Seems like the engine it is going to stop and then it recovers goes to like 1000 rpm and then settles in 700-800.

and do not attempt to adjust idle with a cold engine. let it run until the cooling fans start and stops
