Crazy Idle

Hi I am a newbie and yes I have a problem. I just got a 93 Prelude Si with 99,800 miles to drive to college and back. The car runs like a champ with one exception. When I first start the car it ides at 1500 rpm, then after it warms up it ides at 1100 rpm. The problem is that it idles rough when the rpms are going down. It will go down to 1000 rpm (idles rough for a few seconds) then goes back up to 1100 rpm and idles fine. This is without the a/c on. I know it sounds stupid but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

that sounds pretty common. is it an autmatic ? if yes your torque converter remains locked. also why is the idle so high on your car ? it shoud be like 750-800 rpms at idle.

The car is a 5 speed. Like I said I just got and was comparing it to my 89 prelude which didn't do that. Tune up and all the other good stuff planned for next week. Thanks
