Arghhh! Got hit today

Some !@#$%^ in a 77 ford f-150 backed in to my car in a mall parking lot when I was sitting in it (Ouch! my neck ). It messed up my bumper a little. His comment was, "Umm... sorry... thought I had a good couple of feet left."

Oh well, its not too bad, but now I have to get quotes for insurance and stuff. It did slightly dent the bumper and gouged the paint. In Oregon, insurance lets you take the car to any shop you want to get it fixed, and I need two quotes.

Question is, should I take it to Honda, or should I go to a good body shop? I'd think Honda would be best, but the people at this dealership are questionable. Just wanted to know if any of you have experience in this subject.

Thanks guys

I'd take it to honda. You can always find another dealership.

Because of bastard, your premiums are going to increase a little.

Take one to the Dealer...
Then get the second quote from the other most expensive place you know... You want to get really high quotes, then get someone who does a good job thats cheap to do it for you..

Nope, talked to my insurance company and his, and his accepted full liability. Mine won't change at all.

I'm going to take it to honda in a couple of days.

I would take it to the most expensive body shop...of the quote is high enough you may be able to get a body kit.

I hope you're right. Caus in most cases, that the opposite party accepts the fault or not, depending on level of acceptation your premiums will go up.

In other words, even if accepts the fault 100%, yours would slightly go up. Regardless of what the insurer will tell you.

But I hope yours stay as they are.

Thats cool!

In most cases that I know of, they'll raise the premium saying that it's simply a general standardisation increase.

Thats because insurance companies are crooks and try to steal any penny they can from you, and know you cant do jack about it..

That really sucks about your car gettin hit. I already talked to my insurance company and they said when I hit 21, my insurance will go down 40%. Makes a huge difference.

Wow, I'm going to call mine now!

Yeah, I just got a quote for a little under $600. Plus the insurance company will give me a rental. Not too bad, I'll get it fixed when I have a break in classes.
