Help With Vtec Not Working

What up? I swapped a 97 H22 into my 90 accord and everything is fine with the motor and swap except for VTEC. I cant get it to work. I have tried to pin it to the ECU in A4, re wired the run from the soleniod twice and still no go. Any ideas from anyone? Anyone had this problem? Either I am a dummy or something is wrong. I put the ECU in my friends car that has the same setup and it works in his car so I know it is not the ecu. Is that pin connection touchy? Could it be that it is not getting a full connection and if it is not any suggestions? Anything you guys could suggest would be much appreciated. Thanks all!

Have you tested the solenoid to ensure it's actually working?

Also, your engine isn't low on oil is it?

Lack of proper oil pressure will cause the engine to not engage in VTEC operation.

I have checked the soleniod, gave it some juice and got some activity out of it so I am 99% sure it is functioning. There is only 250 miles on my swap so I am 99% sure that the oil pressure is not the issue either. I am throwing code for my TPS sensor so when I get that dialed in and get that code to go away, do you think that will have impact? Thanks for your insight.

The TPS code may prevent the VTEC from working...

Throttle position will effect the VTEC.
