how do ya tell the diference between the b16a, the b16a2 and b16a3??? is there something to look out for ?? on the engine or somewhere??

jdm motors dont have that last digit
the a1 didnt exist in the states so you wont ever see that (physically seeing B16A1 I mean)

USDM:
A3's have a different intake manifold...but now it escapes me what the features are (it looks different and you can spot it when you see it...just google for pics). Plus the B16A3 stamp on the block. These were produced 93-95 in the states in DelSol Vtecs

A2's have the A2 stamp on it and they were produced 96-97 and again in 99-00 in the states (look at the head, to the left of the exhaust ports to see the dates - 2digits #/# in a circle)

As for the JDM motors, its a hell of a lot harder and you have to look for specific wiring colors by/at the dizzy for the obd's
