Saturn ION Landspeed record...
Probably for alot of us this is ald news but for those that didn't know the Saturn Ion beat the Landspeed record that was set by the civic by about 30 mph. the civic record was 183 and the new record is now 212.6874...

remember that 212 is the AVERAGE speed between 2 passes, that's iimpressive, saturn or no saturn....anf FWIW is think it's funny they are talking about the "Red Line" packages yet their "red line" Vue is powered by a honda 3.5Litre V-TEC V6 and transmission :lol: :lol:

Strangely enough...I'm actually with Hondaman on this. it's a Saturn...who cares? I won't lie...I didn't bother to read the article but for f@ck's sake...it's a Saturn. If a Saturn can go that fast imagine what a REAL car outfitted similarly could do. Hell...the '03 Cobra set a record in it's class in stock form and was limited by regulations because it didn't have the right wheel/tire combo (limited to under 180mph). I have yet to be impressed by anything GM has done in the last 30 years or so and this is no exception.
