What is the best way to paint front brake calipars and also, what is the best paint for it? I have a red Accord, which colour do you think would look sweet? Thanks

Red or White... depends on the rest of the car too...

They spell paint especialy for brake calipers... i don't know if it's worth it or not, I just used some Krylon Painter's Touch , in a small can, for my probe, lasted a while.

Maybe Pepboys has the brake caliper paint, I saw it in an add in SCC also check ebay.

I used HighTemp paint from Autozone it worked great.. Just make sure its completely dry before you drive it

Darker colors look much better the lighter colors do. Try to figure out a color scheme you want the car in and stick with that. Red looks nice, thats what color my friend did his Eclipse.. Yellow is a PITA. It took twice as much paint to paint the make it look decent with the yellow.

DO NOT GET DARK COLORS!!! Dark red/green/blue/whatever just makes them look dirty... get a nice bright color (I got red) and make sure you grease/sand calipers and dry them before you coat them... give them several good coats, but be sure to mask off the rotor edges and the brake lines... also make sure dust is kept to a minimum around the painting area and let them dry for several hours before driving on it... let us know how they came out... and yes, special caliper paint can be found at Auto Zone, Napa, or PepBoys... or just about any other car place

Gold is tricky... if you have gold behind a silver/aluminum/chrome wheel it will look horrible... also if you have gold behind a gold wheel and they dont match perfectly it will look horrible... basically dont mix gold/silver or 2 diff gold colors... if you have a particular color theme on your car you may wish to stick with that... take some pics and let us know how it turns out. Good luck and take your time- otherwise you will regret it
