broken pressureplate or slave cyln

My car problems all started last friday... I noticed the clutch pedal getting harder to push in and when i switched into some gears with the clutch floored the gears would still grind. anyway i managed to get to work and back without any problem. But the very next day i got in my car i made it about 1/3rd of the way to work noticing the pedal pressure slowly fading away. My question is this - is there something wrong with my clutch assembly or my clutch line? my line isnt leaking but could it be the slave cylynder

the brakes and the clutch work on the same principle. on the brake their is a master and slave cylnder to move the disk/drums. on the clutch it moves the release forks.
