it shouldn't be that hard, the mounting points are the only thing that should be different. to bad the kit is a rip off.

The Decah kit could probably be adapted to fit your car. But that kit is an insane $1600. Anyone can ficure out that it doesn't cost them that to make those kits, since all they are is a pair of hinges. I am working on fabricating a universal set of scissor door hinges. Once I have the plans done, I will let you know. Another option to consider if you have money (and you obviously do if you are considering Decah) is to call some of the companies who make Lamboghini conversions for Fieros. See if they will just sell you the hinges, door latches, and strike plates. That would save you a ton of money.

Autoloc is making universal hinges now, they run about $200 for a pair ( I think), would be a more affordable possiblity,

Autoloc makes suicide door kits, but I didn't find anything on scissor door kits. If you are sure they do, post a link. If they are that cheap, it would take a lot less time to just get those than to custom fabricate them. Anyway, let me know.

i dont really see the big deal with lambo doors, if they were like an automatic door like some of the lambo's though. Then that would be cool

I am actually getting quite far on the conversion for my car. We have parts on the way and a few design plans. Once we are done, the handles will be shaved and we will install door poppers so the whole system is remote and automatic. Just hit a button and up the doors go. If everything works out, I will post how we did it.

awesome, I am very interested in this idea. I would like to send a big **** you to all the people who don't think we should do this because we don't have lambos, I can't afford a lambo, and I'll make sure to have all the hoes I get from having vertical doors flash you when we drive by.

dont know if it will help any of you guys cuz this guy is in south Florida. but anyways the guy that owns Mad Mods
( http://www.madmods.com ) has put the decah door kit on integras, 5th gen civics, and went i went for an estimate for my car a 7th gen civic, he was putting them on a chevy dually. he said he would do them for $600-800 depending if he had to do any major modifications. Thats a good price too cuz ive shopped around n it aint cheap!

is that $600-$800 to install it, plus the Decah kit? If so, that is like $2500. That is a lot of money. Shit, I could put new engine in my car for that, and if you have that kind of money, do that instead. I will be doing mine for like $500 max. Thats $500 if everything goes wrong, we have to make three sets of hinges, and buy a shitload of other parts. If we get these hinges working, we will probably start making and selling them. And for a hell of a lot cheaper than the Decah kit. As cool as this conversion is, I don't think it is worth $2500. Hell, I didn't even think it is worth $1600 or I would have just gotten the Decah kit and made it work. Seriously, it is worth waiting a while to save yourself $2000.

ASAP. I don't have an exact date or anything, but those hinges are my top priority right now. Believe me, when they are done you guys will hear about it.

If you do get those hinges down, and can offer them for around $600 a set, you be rich! I know about 10 people that want them on their cars, and I know they'd buy em for that price.
