hybridautomotive.com?

Has anyone here ever dealt with hybridautomotive.com?
they are advertising complete b16a2 swaps for about $2100 before shipping. That seems like a good deal but I'd like to hear what others think
here is a link to their swap page

http://www.hybridautomotive.com/parts/swaps.html

please let me know if this would be a decent place to buy from
thanks

Sean

i've never heard or dealt with them. looking over their site, it seems like a legit business, but thats just my feeling. Its out of CA, so I'm sure someone on here can tell us first hand if they exist. Try to call and talk to a human first. go to BBB.org and run a search on them.

I just got an e-mail from jeff at Hybridautomotive.com
He says that the LSD option is a factory Honda LSD tranny. How could I find out for sure that is was factory?
also he has a 4.785 final drive set for $350 plus $150 to install and a GSR 4th and 5th gear set for $95. Both of those are used parts but i'm thinking I might as well do both of them right away otherwise I might never do it.

would you guys recomend doing the final drive and gears? Is it worth $600 to have this done? What will be the advantage of doing the gearing change?

thanks,
Sean

I don't know the answer to your question, but I would HIGHLY recommend that you actually call their phone number and talk to a human first. you odn't want them to run away with your $400 check. (I've had it happen, If I would've called them first to see if they were real, I wouldn't have had that problem.)

Yeah, especially with the limitted funds that I have the last thing I need is for some crooked bas###d to steal my money. I'm going to call a couple places tonight when I get home from work. I'm hoping to get things taken car of within this week so that I can get the engine before the week of the 4th of july and get that baby into my car when I have the week off

thanks everyone for the advice
keep it coming

Sean

hey, I have now found a company in North Carolina called Japan Direct.
their website is www.usedengine.com

these guys are listed with the BBB in their area and have prices that compare with hybridautomotive.com

I was wondering if anyone has heard of these guys before, or dealt with them

thanks
Sean
