3 1/4" high (ok no big deal)
8.5" circumference (that means roughly 2.7" diameter for those of you that dont feel like doing the math [tiny] )

"its sooo cute"

Yeah, the new filters are very small. Honda claims they filter smaller particles better....but really, why can't they do that with a large filter? The world may never know.

Good question... maybe they are saving on materials to reduce the cost to them?

cause the big filters are a PITA to get off the new KA(civic si, accord, crv, element) plants when they are hot, the small filters are hard enough to get off there as it is. The new filters are just as good, but are definitely smaller, best part is they upped the service interval on severe duty oil changes to 7500miles

shocking

Interesting. Because on my car the normal schedule is 7500 oil and 15k filter, but for severe it's 3750 for both.

It's not a PITA with an oil filter wrench, though.

i tried changing the oil at 7500 but after 2500-3000miles my engine keeps burning oil like hell, i would have to add oil every other day, plus when i changed it at 6000miles the oil was too thick and dirty (a lot thincker than the oil that went in 6000 miles ago) so i will change it every 3000 miles no matter what. as for oil filters i used the purolator pure one filters and i would get the oil light to turn on after punching the car. that never happened with the cheap ass fram filters, plus my oil comes out a lot cleaner with the fram than any other brand i used. keep in mind this is just a personal observation and not an actual test, and yes the car is just few clicks away from 160k miles on the dash

I use the pure1 myself usually...because im too lazy to drive all the way down to the dealership...and then have them tell me they dont have any filters in stock...bastards...

i should have said they upped the service intervals on 2001-current civics, 2003-current accords, and the insights, that's all though
