01 S-10 Transmission

I understand this site is about Hondas, but no one else seems to know the answer to my question.

I just bought my self a "pre owned" 01 Chevy S-10 from Team Goey Dodge, this transmission is giving me so many problems. It is a manual tranny, Here are the problems...

1. When I try to shift from 1st to 2nd it has a lot of resistance.

2. I hear a scraping noise when I am in neutral, and when I press all the way down on the clutch it slowly goes away.

At first I thought it was the throw-out bearing, but that should go away if the clutch has even the slightest bit of pressure on it, correct? So what could this noise be?

[By the way, no one buy a car or truck from Team Goey.. I tried to have them fix my rotors, then they found out they weren't on warranty so they stopped in the middle of the process and forgot to tighten up two lugs. They later fell off, causing my tire to wobble ]

too the one asking bout the s10 with the rattle... it could be the shaft bearing the comes out where the throw out bearin is .. did u giggle the shaft when u had it out ... i hada do a clutch job for that reason twice.. bah .. but that could be it or something could be in your tranny like if the clutch broke once before (previous owner) ... just a thought ...
