3 Turbo Projects!

I'm assisting on 3 custom turbo projects:

00 Civic Si with a T3T04E, which is almost done. This guy had been asking me questions while I was deployed. Come to find out, he lives only a few minutes from my place. I'm helping him finish up this custom project in my garage. Will be pushing 10 psi initially. It shold be done the end of next week.

99 Civic LX with a possible T3, TD05, or T25 whichever comes first. We will probably set it at 6 psi initially and maybe boost 8 psi depending on Fuel management. We will start getting parts starting next week.

00 Celica with a possible T3 as well. We will set it to 8 psi. I need to read up on MAF sensors with turbo applications. This one will be a challenge since I have not done a turbo set-up on any other cars before except hondas. I think it will be fun overall.

care to assist on my RB26DETT powered 240 project?

Looking at turbo sizes, and what would be best for top-end as well as quick response. I can keep the stockies for a while, but I'm looking at some Garrett turbos on ebay right now.

RB25 or RB26? Your sig kinda toss me off.... Dude, that is a major project! How did you manage to get a hold of an RB25/26 anyway? I say drop a T60-1 at least...... Goodluck man. You're in Cali, otherwise I would've been more than happy to assist you. No kidding man

oy, sorry bout that, I need to delete my sig. It'll be godzilla.. I found a bunch of RB26 clips for around 4G + shipping.

I plan to use 2 variously sized turbo's, I was considering the T60, and using a smaller T3 with a small ar to help with spool up.

I found this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=2420314 082

considering that I would have 3 cylinders per turbo, I dont want something that would take a hurricane to spool. Practical or not?

That will definitely makes sense. To be honest, I'm gonna have to research if the T60-1 maybe too big for a twin turbo on your case. Godaymn T60-1's are expensive! The T4's are big turbo too. I think that you will have to read the compressor maps to get it right. Man, let me know..... you're RB26 project gives me ......he he he he he

That's not right. You're building cars that'll be faster than yours.

What about a T28 instead of the T25?
It'd have a little more potential than the T25. Of course they are harder to come by than the T25's.
Or.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=2422795 769

Anyhow good luck with your projects bro. Let us know the outcomes.

I agree with T28's. It's hard to find and when you do, they get real expensive like that ebay link. T25's and 14B's are easier find. Same as T3's. The project is more of a street set-up anyway.

The 00 Si is almost done but we're stuck with the downpipe issue. We could not find a decent place that can weld the freaking thing. The Tial wastegate is another story. We were told on the day of the purchase that the wastegate will be in in a week time frame. It has been 2 weeks now.

The Celica project is on hold until we get the car from the dealership for final checks. The owner had bought many goodies for it. It's going to be a kickass car. "Show and some Go". He ordered some Lambo door kits, NX kit with 2 purge valves, and lots of electronic stuff. A VIS body kit is already molded. The custom speaker box is almost done..... all being done by him. The fuel system solution for the turbo will be an extra injector on the charged pipe (throttle body area) with RPM or boost dependent. Almost similar to MaxRev's D17 turbo kit. We may even modify and use that fuel management.

The turbo LX is going slow. My friend is currently moving his family to house. He has a T25 already. I have the D16 adapter plate. I found several HF manifolds.
