Front Upper Strut bar

Hi! I just bought a Front Strut bar for my Accord and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more or less where and how to correctly install it. I have an idea but I want to make sure.

Thanks!

Here's a link that will explain it. It basically just bolts to the top of your struts. I hope you got a good 3 point mounting one like the Neuspeed if you want it to make a difference...

Okay Thanks for the Tip! I check into the Neuspeed Strut bars. Will having just a front Strut actually make a difference? And since Im dropping my car soon, that would definitely help right?

If you're dropping your car, go ahead and get it. You might want to look into a set of sway bars after it is actually lowered. That is where you will find help with the body roll.

the bar won't help you with a crappy suspension setup
you will also think you feel it when you drive but you have to push the car pretty hard
I hope you didn't spend a bunch of money on it, the best bars are sold for $30 on E-bay

Well Im dropping my car with Intrax sports springs which are 1.75" drops and eventually go with KYBs. Would that be sufficient?

I'm going to have to disagree on that one. It is widely accepted that a stiff, three point mounting bar like the Neuspeed is better than those cheap bars on E-bay.

tell that to all of the track racers I know who use them
they have tried the Nuespeed, OBX, Mugen, Spoon, DC Sports, etc.
the e-bay bar equals or out performs them all

i also disagree too.... kinda.....
all the bars have relatively the same outcome... neuspeed is nice and the one bar piece are nice too... but hardly a difference....
the only huge difference between bars are the ones that are hollow compared to the solid pieces of metal....
the hollow one that are pretty cheap suck cuz they tend to flex....

actually if the hollow ones are made out of the same amount of material as the solid ones they are stronger

also solid, non-adjustable bars are crap, I don't care if they say Spoon or Mugen
the bars off e-bay allow for both ends to be tightened getting the bar as tight as possible, that is where they are most effective
my DC sports bar is a piece of crap also, it flexs up to 3 inches when pushed on the track, but is better then nothing for now

my buddy uses the e-bay bar on his race prepped Prelude and literally drives harder then most people on the track, his bar flexes very little and transfers weight very efficcently

i agree with urbanlegend. the ebay bars are good and if u are not that performance oriented (like me) the ebay will do fine. Actually i have a friend who has a stock 90 accord lx and i let him drive my car and he was really impressed with the handling of the car. he did not know that i had those under the hood. at the time i did not have one in my trunk, but you really can feel the difference.

usually accord are verry well known for understeer, and tigtening the fron end and leaving the rear the same will result in more understeering. Get both of them for the rear. as of now i have only the rear tiebar installed and i see some differences the way the car handles. having it with a stock suspension might result in crappy handling.

Okay! When I first started this thread I wasnt sure what I was going to get. And besides I didnt have my setup yet.

Anyway, right now I have a upper front strut which I got from EBAY. I also installed Eibach Pro-kits and KYB AGX on my car.

Should I get rear upper strut bars and lower tie bars?
