6x9's in a 01 civic?

Hey I already put a new system in my car, but I was wondering if 6x9's will fit in my civic. The stock speakers are 6 1/2's.

I was told at a stereo shop in San Jose that it is possible to cut new holes to make the 6x9's fit but that they wouldn't do it. I went to another shop in Mountain View, CA and they said that they couldn't cut the holes to make the 6x9's fit because if they did the 6x9's would hit the metal bars in my trunck and wouldn't fit.

So whats up with these stories is it possible to fit 6x9's in a 01 civic?

You have a sedan right? CAuse if you have a coupe, then you already have 6x9's in the rear..

And you're talking about the rear correct??

In any case, for a little extra bass, why dont you get a small sub setup.. That would do you good!
