Alignment??

I noticed that after I put my 17" wheels on that my car tends to pull to the right on a straight stretch.

1. Is it because of the bigger wheels and lack of getting my car aligned afterwards?

2. Is it because maybe the lug nuts are tighter on that side? (probably not)

I have also had my card jacked up on the right side for a couple of hours putting my CAI on. This is driving the car after it has had time to settle.

3. Could that be the cause?

If it does pull, you will probably need an alignment (unless there is something physicall wrong with a wheel).

As for the lug nuts.... did you install the wheels yourself? If so, did you use a torque wrench to tighten to the appropriate specs? If not, I strongly suggest you get your hands on a torque wrench and check it out.

If you install wider wheels its always a good idea to get an alignment, chances are you need one anyway. Check tire pressure and make sure its the same. Remember with bigger wheels your going to feel A LOT more of everything in the road especially any uneveness in the road, which may cause it to pull some also.

Yeah the alignment is what you are in need of. Also depending on the tires you have they could catch grooves in the road and pull it also..

Just spend the $ and get it aligned. A little time for a better driving ride....

This may be your problem make sure that its not just the grooves in the road. I had a horrible time with my tires holding on to the grooves in my last car. It was so bad thatif I let the steering wheel go while I was still creeping at a stop light it would turn the wheel about a full half turn, pain in the ass but soem times you pay the price to look good....Right!?!?!?

any ways just make sure that is not the cause

I think a lot of that has to do with having bigger and wider rims, Even my 15s do it a little, but not near as bad as the 17s used to do it. A lot of it depends on the road. With stock tires on, they are so skinny you cant really tell anything, but with wider tires you can. Try playing with the air pressure in the tires.. let some out this should help with the wheel turning like that.
