Well, you do only distance learning with no classroom instruction? Are you going to college at age 16?

He'll have mature C cup women over him.
not skanky ones that don't know what they want (the C cup's still don't know, but at least they provide you with other qualities )

Not to sound like I'm lecturing, but college is really important these days to land yourself a good job. Its not manditory, but it sure does help out.

Damn man, the Navy will literally pay for your school through the ROTC (I think that's the one) program. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

Boy I tell you what, I did a kind of home school/work at own pace thing for awhile. IT SUCKED! Public school is so much easier because you can slack off and do nothing and still pass. Yep, I'm one of those kids! I think my GPA was in between 2.0 and 2.5. FAILURES UNITE!!! (I graduated a month ago)

YEAH!!!! I think my report card at end of 3rd quarter was 5 Fs and 1 C, by the end of 4th they were all up to passing, so I'm still on track to graduate without summer school
Ah the public school system's so easy to beat

Good call. You're not beating anything if you're not doing better than that. High school is one of the easiest things you'll do in life, why not do a good job?

I'm getting close to 80% up here in Canada and it's harder than most of your american high school systems (I have friends who came from US). I still think I could do MUCH better by just putting some effort into my assignments.

Moo.

Haven't set any high goals in life, don't plan on going to college, and if you're just interested in passing rather than passing with flying colors the system's easy to beat :P

Why try in High School? Cause high school really doesnt matter IF your going to college...community college is the best idea in the world. My philosophy on this is: Why try hard for 4 years when you can kick @$$ for two years and get the same degree (associates)?
BUT...if your trying to get a decent job straight out of high school, good luck. All companies want AT LEAST an associates.
oh well, my 2 centworth

Sorry man, but that statement is complete BS. If I didn't do well in HS and take all of the advanced calc/physics crap that I did, I would have had a much harder time in the beginning of college. If I didn't have that calc, I'd have to take additional college calc courses, chem, and phys, then I already did.

You may be right, considering I'm not in college yet. But you have to agree that public school is completly worthless. I've learned nothing useful. What they taught me was either inaccurate, incomplete, or combo of the two. To learn anything, I had to research it myself. The only thing that ever has been useful to me is math. HOWEVER: I would much rather be taught by a professor at a college who is probably paid much better than our public school district underpaid grunts. Not to imply that a college professor is better quality because of his pay, but wouldnt you feel better about doing your job if you were paid well? I dont know, I'll shut up now until I actually start college in the fall...

Actually, I was speaking of math/science mainly, and it looks like you agree. English, geo, and all of that crap didn't help me a bit. But if I didn't take HS math/science I'd be screwed.

I've only gotten to take algebra 1,2,3,4 and geometry. I'll be slightly behind in college, true. But I've never had a head for numbers, so there was no point in racking my brain to get As and Bs. As for Science, i only had two good teachers that actually knew something that wasnt in a text book. I learned most of my science stuff on my own....

Anyway, I dont know what I'm trying to say, but, yes I do agree that math is important (as is science)
