is the front half of the console the same regardless of trans?

I was refering to the console that contains the cup holder goes around the shifter and then connects to the rear half that goes around the parking brake and is either an armrest or just holds the rear ash tray

Well, our cars are FWD, so, the tranny and engine are placed sideways in the engine bay. The only thing that could change the position of anything is the shift linkage, and if you get the right linkage it should match up to the boot and shifter perfectly.
