Yeah I get taxed about 1/3 of my paycheck too, especially if I work OT. Last check was like close to $1900 before taxes, I walked with $1200

ya, it sucks. The more hours and money you make in a paycheck, the more tax they take away. But i should get alot of it back on my tax return because i will be going to school again and that means I'm a student. Students get a better tax return. I worked ALOT of OT!

ShagginJet: where do you work/what do u do? And how much is your wage?

With the current economy, about $64 American... lol j/k.
About 30% of my paychecks are going to be taken out as well (I get my first paycheck this Thursday, won't be nearly as much as
Accord17's though). I claimed 0 dependants on my W2 so they tax the hell out of it, but when next tax season, I'll get half of it back... So really, I'm playing like 15%, they're just holding my money for me for a little while

why don't you fill out a w4 with your employer so your taxes aren't witheld in the first place?
