03' SI with mods, TYPE S watch out!!!

hey guys, i just put some mods into my car like a AEM CAI and hondata flash with the hondata heatsheild gasket. my car feels a lil torques from 1000 rmp all the way to its new red line, "7700"
i only have 700 miles on it, do you think engine is okay to go that far in rpm?

honda engines are bullet proof! honda engines are tested in their factory before they put them in the car, all the break in period is dont at the honda factory so every thing is sealed right so when the car is sold you could redline it off the lot!!!! break in period is bs!!!!! thats my theory....

any ways do you think i could hang hang with, INTEG GS-R?
or a RSX TYPE-S? what car do you guys think is my best competitor? SVT focus?

hope to see some of those on the drag!!!!

not as much as some other cars. If a cavalier hit's a speed bump the transmission is likely to fall out the bottom and drag by the timing belt lol, j/k, but cavies are POS

yeah true, im chillin with it, but at the races i didnt hold back well.... acept for power shifting, i did none of that

i red lined it at 8 in every gear at got a pretty okay time considering what the RSX's type S were getting and the GTS Celicas

i got 15.6 with okay launch, i know my car can get a 15.3 if i launch right and shift faster!!! i didnt want to mis-shift so i did it pretty slow

rsx's that day were getting 15.8 to 16.1 on 1/4 mile
and the gts the same

they were all in a crew too! and i think they suck at driving but any ways i dont think my car is all that but knowing i got a faster time than factory spec makes me happy

i got a few mods to but its not like the car has more than 180 hp compared to a rsx type-s or a GTS celica

The break-in period stands.. For the 1k, go easy on it.. Constantly varying speed and acceleration rate.

Pushing an engine to its physical limits is obviously bad.. So dont be shifting at 8k too often, otherwise bad things will happen.

Already power shifting?!

Anyways, I dont want to get you worked up or anything, but are you sure you know what you're doing?

I do agree with Hondas having a strong engine. But any engine will increase wear out on bad driving habits. Be careful not to mess your car up too soon MasterVTEC.......
