head swap?

Does a H23 head swap onto an F23?
Does anyone have any flow numbers for either head?

um, well i dont think so, the h23 is a dohc engine and has a huge head, the f23, if its anything like the f22, is a sohc engine and has a much smaller head. the h22 and h23 heads are the same size. i'd think the f20 head(s2k) would fit easyer than a h23(im not saying it will work though) for the cost of a head swap, you might want to look into buying a h22 engine

Thanks for the info. I've been hot rodding chevy's for years and I'm just starting to play with Hondas. The interchangability of small blocks make it easy to build what you want (corvette horsepower in a truck is essentially a head swap), so I was curious.

It sounds like not much swaps between the engines even if they are of similar displacement.

there are plenty of swaps.....PLENTY. just cant put DOHC and SOHC engines together, and for the majority they must be of the same series. B16 = b series, H22 = h series.

4thGen - the F22B1 is a DOHC engine while the F22B2 is a SOHC engine.
