A/C problems

It used to be nice and cold but all of a sudden for the past week or so it doesn't cool at all. I'm not sure what to check first. When I press the A/C button it sounds as if the compressor is coming on because I can feel the rpm's drop slightly. But the air is still hot. Is the some common problem in Prelude A/C's that I should know about before continuing.

free-on charge. but you have to know some one that can you the free-on, because i dont know if its true in iowa, but in florida it is considered a controled substance (dont ask why) and only liscensed a/c people can get a hold of the newer free-on

well maybe your pressure in the system is low. and yes freon can be handled only by professionals, but you can replace the o-rings and take the moisture out of the system, then recharge it with r134a (available at any parts store)
