Help on Tac

I got a 92 civic CX HB. Is the lowest model and has no tac and iss a manual. I bought one and got it all wired up except for i cant find where the tac wire goes. My wireing diagram says i got an optional tac wire comming off my distributor and i tryed that wire but it did'nt work. Any Ideas of whut wire it goes to? thanx

were you trying the blue wire at the distributor? The tach wire should measure between 0-6 V (i think) while the car is running

If you probe the blue wire on one of your dash plogs for voltage you can also take the reading from there. The voltage reading will increase as rpm go up. just probe all the wires with a voltmeter and the one that respond should be blue in color. Splice it in there saves you time and keeps your engine bay looking clean
