Sequential Sportshift mod...Can It be done?

I have recently gained access to a 5thGen Prelude Sequential Sportshift. It is just the stick shift part...you guys know what Im talking about...My friend says it can be installed on a 4thgen automatic with a few modifications to the center console and some mods to the actual transmission thingy...sh!t, I dont remember what he said...Anyways he has been wrong before.

Has anyone done this before?
Should I do/try it?
Will it Fckup my tranny?

it can be done but you need a control nodule for it. www.levelten.com has it for $1000

*edit* oh just the shifter part? well, your going to need to make your tranny capable of shifting through gears without causing problems, i however don know much about automatic transmitions other than its horrible to shift through gears like its manual on a stock tranny

Really not a good idea.. I looked into it (for a friend), and man it involves way too much bullshit for a little pleasure..

it's not that hard. all you need is to know how to work 4 little solenoids. that's it. i've done my homework and fixed my tranny after an almost failure

In our case it involved fitting the TL gearbox on a 2000 V6 Accord..

Definately possible.. but one of the harder procedures..

I have asked around and the cheapest estimate I got was $1500...not including parts...and they said they couldn't gaurantee the work since the part is from another car. I just thought that putting that shifter in would look SICK in a 4thgen....DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PS2 GAMES I can get with $1500, Do you know how many blank CD-R's? Like someone said before, It is not worth it.
If anyone is interested...I will probably put the shifter on Ebay in the couple of days...

Stefan its not a direct fit..

Daviso.. IMO, this one of the few things that it isnt worth doing, unless you do ityourself and know what you're doing.. In your case the parts are prelude to prelude.. So it really shouldnt be that bad.. But at that price, you might as well convert to a manual tranny.. Which is ok, if you plan on keeping the car for a very long time..

1500? LOFL. you can almost buy a whole JDM engine for that price. you can easly get a 5spd tranny and the needed parts for a 5spd swap.
