GREAT
Now we wont have kids zipping up and down lanes, we'll have them crashing into curbs, signs, and broadsiding other cars.

F&F kills the import scene by overrunning it with little ricer kids who are really bad drivers and dont know shit about cars. They just think its cool cuz some dipshits make a movie over glorifying it.There wreckless driving and stupid attempts to be "fast and furious" gets the attention of law enforcement and gives the import scene a bad name.

"Drift King," with ties to the Yakuza

Fucking typical.

Either way, drifting has gotten alot of attention but I have yet to see it on the streets besides those that have been doing it for years (like my brother).

Honestly...I couldn't care less. I don't think I'm alone in the world in thinking this may be the worst idea since The Adventures Of Pluto Nash, but if it's so horrible, don't see it. Of course, I'm sure 90% of us WILL see it because for as much as people claim to hate the F&F movies they sure as shit can't stop discussing them.

drifting has been around longer than we knew what to call it.. since we've had RWD people have been "drifting" they just didn't know it.. they just were doing donuts or going around a corner sideways because it was fun and they could do it, not because it was the latest hype in motorsports

Funny...because I can remember a torrent of articles calling import "tuning" (which by it's own nature is ridiculous because it's essentially what people have been doing for decades without resulting to lameass catch phrases. Nobody called Carroll Shelby a "tuner"...they called him a badass) the new era of "hot rodding". Then they made the first "The Bi And The Curious"... errr....The Fast And The Furious (tastefully ripping off the name from a racing movie from the 50's) and people blamed it for all sorts of shit. The fact of the matter is that people were doing stupid shit before the first F&F and they'll be doing stupid shit long after it's over. So either the F&F movies ushered in a new age of dumbasses or import "tuning" (or import modification) is the "new era of hot rodding". You get to pick one and only one.
