yea i got 1 10" JL Audio W3 D2. With a kicker z460 amp that i had from my old system that i'm using temporarly. As soon as it warms up i'll be making a tire well enclosure for it and hopefully get a JL Audio d class amp, those are REALLY nice. For now this is what it looks like. I'm trying to sell this 4 channel amp to get the JL one. It's a 1.7 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 29hz, if i only had mono class amp that thing would seriously pound, it does a pretty good job right now.

With a 500.1, it'll sound amazing..

Though the tire well enclosure is a b!tch to get to sound good.. But its possible..

yea the oinly hard thing is if u use fiberglass is finding the correct volume. I may just make a box that fits inside it with a false floor and it'll look exactly the same.

True..

Another issue is that, a sub facing the top has a tendancy to pound less hard.. Since the direction in which the waves bouce back isnt really the desired one.

it all depends on what it's bouncing against. i may do a fiberlgass baffel and have the sub titled out and facing the back of the trunk, i gotta experiment with the box i have now to see what sounds best

Experimenting with a custom fitted box in the well isnt always an easy task..

The best sounding setups, that i'Ve heard, we're the ones with the subs simply facing the back..

And the subs shouldnt be too far from the surface from which the bouce off, cause the wave patterns are of such *shape*, that when they bounce, depending on distance and wavelength, they have a tendancy to cancel each other out.. Atl east to a certain extent.
