OK... first off I never ever got allowance. Every penny I own was earned by me. Granted some was birthday and christmas and whatnot, but I never asked for toys, always stocks since I was like 8. Second, I did not invest anyone else's money, I invested my own. The large majority of what I invested was money earned by me, at my job. Im also not getting a 35k gift. In case you have completely ignored all of my other posts, I put in about 5k for the highlander and will be putting 9k+summer money (about 5k) into the G35, making the grand total of money, paid by me, to around 19k. Sure my parents are still essentially giving me 16k, but they will save that in tuition first year alone.
I actually agree with ohiochica on this one, I believe it is an attitude. I too have been given a strong work ethic by my nazi step-father (thank you) and by my workaholic mom, and am very thankful for it. I know of a kid that gets everything he askes for, now that is spoiled. Spoiled is when giving the kid things has gotten to the point where that is all that matters to him. This is not the case with me.

Swear to God I did. My aunt bought be 25 shares of wal-mart stock down at like $10/share about 10 years ago, and ever since I've been hooked on the stock market. Hell, I even work for Wachovia Securities now, the second largest stock firm in the country.

she gave it to me originally, but after I was given it as a gift, every holiday after that I asked for it. I currently hold *clicks aol favorite places: portfolio*... ah here we go...
17.575 shares of AGGBX (mutual fund)
16 shares of AMD
10 shares of CostCo
20 shares of GE
5 shares of IBM
16 shares of Coke
about 400 shares in various other mutual funds at abt 10/share
60 shares of Wal-Mart
5 shares of Wal-Mart de Mexico

Still doubtful? I can take a pic of my last statement if you care all that much
