actualy if you simply went "left to right" as you say 45+546*54-86=x you would get the wrong answer solving simply left to right gets you x=31,828 which is the WRONG answer 45+546*54-86=x x actualy equals 29,443 and its almost like you understand that cause you explain how to do it, but then by saying you just solve math eqations left to right is wrong. you have to follow order of operations initialy ONLY when all remaining operations are equal can you solve left to right. |
