So Im going to make some spacers

Spacers that would raise the spring perch on the koni's around .5" in the front and .25" in the rear.

So...
Im going to buy a 10" tube section, and was curious as to whether I should use Aluminum (6061) or Stainless Steel (t304).
The price difference is nearly 2x as much for stainless...but I think it would hold up better....specifically because I plan on making a 1" set for the winter.

What do you guys think?

Oh, the Dimensions of the tube are:
OD - 1.900
ID - 1.610
Wall Diameter - 0.145
Id have to do some enlarging and grind out the lip too.
