Today is a good day

So, I've been sorta having a rough couple of weeks (gettin fired for sittin down for 10 minutes and all) but today just showed me that those rough weeks mean SH!T to me....


I had an interview with the Lancaster County GIS dept Tuesday at 3:30pm. Today (wed) when I checked my email at lunch time I had an email from the dude I interviewed with sent at 9:20 this morning saying that I got my internship. It's gonna be great! I'll get to spend 90% of my work time outside all summer long. I'll be using GPS units to collect coordinates of fire hydrants in certain participating municipalities and then going back to the office, downloading the info I collected into the computer and then using a mapping software (ArcView or ArcGIS) to map the data I collected and to make sure that everything is accurate. I'll start my internship May 19th....I'm so stoked! (sorry for the "stoked"...I was watching VH1's "I love the 80s" for a lil bit today)
