The war you *didn't* see on tv... [graphic content]

This was posted in another forum that I visit and I thought some of you might like to read about this...
Quote:
a photojournalist by the name of peter turnely happened to be around during the gulf war. at the time he figured he'd skip hanging around with the rest of the press, where they are directed from point a to point b by the PR people in the military.

he posted these photos online.. he says its not so much to give a political statement, but more just to convey a more accurate image of what actually goes on during a war.. you'd never see photos like this on tv or in the newspaper. he wants people to know what the actual casualties of a war are like, as the likelyhood of the US goign into iraq increases everyday.

i think its good for people to see these pictures.. these days the media trys to paint a picture of wars where people dont get killed... most of the footage you see on television is aerial footage from smart bombs, where things look surgically planned to only get rid of the bad guys.. in reality the civillian casualties in any war are going to be tremendous.

take a look at these and pass them onto friends who have a sugar coated view of how wars really are..
