some mecahnics call themselves "mechanics"

I took my car at the shop yesterday afternoon to get it aligned, because i noticed it was pulling right. not so hard but still and i paid around 400 for my tires 2 months ago. Anyway i take my car to the shop and the guy at the front desk tells me that he will call me in 1.5 hours to go get the car, because it's gonna be done, so i go home and wait for their call. Finally after 4 hours of waiting the "mechanic" calls me and tells me that the car is way too low to have it aligned. I'm like wtf ???? so i go to the shopp and see what they are talking about. when i get there i noticed that the laser beam couldnot get thru because of my splash shield that was messed up due to an earlier accident. anyway i lift the shield and the machine gets its readings. finally i notice that the caster for the right front wheel is way off like -.2 degrees instead of 2-2.5, and i ask the dude to finally correct my caster angle. he looks at the instructions and tells me that i can't have the caster set because i don't have the stock struts. Indeed the honda manual mentions "shorten the strut rod for positive caster, or shorten it for negative caster". so he tries to adjust it but the max it can go it's like .3 degrees, and the strut rod is already maxed out. so he begins scratching his head, till i finally tell him that the front cross memeber is bent so bad that you can see it. i called honda and they want $382 for the part and all the other hardware is gonna be around $70. OUCH. i foundeverything for 355 at majestic honda. sorry i just had to vent.
