nissan skyline r35 updates!

The company has asked for around 400bhp and 490Nm of torque, but more realistic figures given emissions regulations are 350bhp and 450Nm

well i'm not sure what bhp means but i know that Nm means newton meters and thats a different messurement for tq and typically when people mention the hp/tq of a car its a the motor. Unless of course i'm missing something here, someone jump in and tell my how to convert these digits.
