Ordered my new rims & rubber...suggestions...
I didn't intend to order new rims & rubber. I was washing my car yesterday and noticed a screw in my tire. Of course it was right where the sidewall meets the tread so it wasn't repairable. Good news is that there is no air leaking. Anyhow..... Here's the rims: 17x7 Motegi Racing MR-7s in GunMetal. And the rubber: http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/high_perf/fz4.html Toyo FZ4 205/40/17 (painted calipers, chrome stems, chrome locking lugnuts, lifetime alignment, lifetime balancing, lifetime rotation) $1235.74 after tax..... The rubber I chose can be changed at any time which is why I posted. Do you guys have any suggestions for tires? I need/want a Z rated tire. I loved my Kumhos but I don't think they make a tire like Toyo does. I have about 4-6 weeks to decide since they are on backorder. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry.....

				 | Check out tirerack.com, they will let you compare tires and there are sometimes reviews on tires, etc... This may help a little. I too would look at bridgestones..

				 | The Kumhos in that size are Z-rated, and the new Parada Spec-2 are as well. The TA/KD, S-03 and RE730 are all very good Z-rated tires in that size as well. |

				 | I was looking into the Bridgestone Potenza S-03's. They seem to have gotten some great reviews.

				 | Have you guys heard of Continental? I can't remember the model of tire, but he said they were made in Japan. Hmmm.. I know it was H rated. Dang it... I'll see if I can find it...

				 | Yes, S-03 are bad ass tires no doubt. My buddy used them last year for auto-x in STS and they worked great dry or wet! |

				 | Well I guess I'll have to see if Tire Discounters carries them. I don't think they carry any Bridgestone/Firestone tires though. How about the Toyo Proxes T1-S? I like that tread design on there. But if they handle like crap or are loud I don't want em.. The only I ask about the Toyos is because I know they have them. They can also get Nitto & Yokohama. They used to carry Kumho . Just to add to this, these are only summer rims. Come winter they get swapped. So long as they handle in the rain its all good.

You don't have a Firestone shop near you somewhere? They are usually good about giving you deals if you talk to them...

No I bought them at Tire Discounters. Its a package deal. Besides I wouldn't buy from any except Tire Discounters. Great Service.
