What would you do?

Well I found out november of last year my sister got engaged... great right? Well then I find out she asked my eldest sister to be her maid of honor and I wasnt asked to be in the wedding.. I wrote her a letter telling her how I felt.. specially since we used to be very close. So.. she writes me back and asks me to do one of two things at her wedding.......1-Help people sign her guestbook....2-Hand out programs... Which I nicely told her Id prefer to just watch if it came down to that. She then contacts me two weeks ago and tells me she really wants me to be apart of her wedding and be an usher cause she made a mistake.. so since she is family.. I said ok( Im always willing to give family a second chance)..Ill usher for it. Well I find out tonight one of her braidsmaids called and regretfully cancelled and she chose a friend to replace her over me.. So Now im REALLY pissed off.. My mom is making me go.. but all i wanna do is kick her in the face.. Am I wrong for feeling like this? Please I need an honest opinion cause I feel like dirt on the bottom of someones shoe...

shes a bitch for doing that
consider her friends as water: blood is thicker than water, but obviously she doesn't see that.

Yes. It's just a wedding. My brother asked me to be a groomsman in his wedding and I declined and told him I'd usher. I just didn't want to have to stand around for 45 minutes in front of 100 people looking like an idiot. Since you're jewish I don't really know what kind of ceremonies you'll be attending (if they're denominational at all), but do you really want to stand around wearing one of those ugly-as-fuck bridesmaid's dresses that make you look like a marshmallow peep in front of a bunch of people bad enough that you're willing to get so pissed at your sister? I say let it go. Just be happy that she's getting married and harbor a secret joy that in a few years she'll probably be divorced anyway.

Not really. Just be glad you have a healthy enough family that you're willing to get upset that your sister didn't ask you to be part of the wedding party. When my grandpa got remarried after my grandma died, all hell broke loose. No one wanted to be part of it and everyone was bitching at everyone else. At least you're close enough to your sister to be upset over trivial bullshit like this. Look...she's getting married. Your not a bridesmaid. So what? There will be bigger events in your life.

Ive never cared much for weddings. I think they mean more to girls than they do to guys.
Still, she's an ass for doing that...If I were you, and I cared enough, I really wouldnt go.

The wedding doesn't matter, its the fact that she completely overlooked mavaaoife (sorry don't know your real name, did I miss a memo?).

For women its a different. You have every right to be pissed. Call in sick.

Or better yet, act normal until the wedding starts, and then act mental challenged. Start blurting shit out at random, repeat the preacher etc...

You will either be everyone first choice or never have to buy a dress again

Eh, I see where evreyone is coming from but I think it totally makes sense that she'd be so upset. Common sense, it's family..her own freakin sister for that matter. I'd be irritated and I'd probably feel as if I were shit too. After your letter, your sister obviously has her own reasons behind those choices. Don't get yourself so worked up over it, go to the wedding. If you don't go, you'll probably regret it later in life..and believe me, regrets suck major sweaty balls.

Oh, your sister's a bitch.

Incase you haven't noticed, most guys don't really get to emotional about this kinda stuff, hence the reason we get accused of being heartless a lot of times.

I could see how this could bother you though, but as noted earlier. I'm sure she has her reason though they may not be the greatest ones. I wouldn't take it to heart to much. Life is to short to be mad at eachother over something so trivial. Tomorrow it will be a thing of the past and you'll be faced with new and even more challenging situations.
