You get to chose two

So...in an effort to understand humanity better, I offer all of you a simple question. It is to be taken literally as follows:

For the rest of your life, you will only be able to experience 2 emotions. There is no middle ground...you will only experience one or the other. What are those two emotions?

Chose carefully...since you will be subjected to both alternately until your number is up and chosing poorly would suck...kind of like that scene in "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade" where that guy picks the wrong cup and turns into a skeleton and the old guy says "you chose poorly"...it just won't be that dramatic. I think we can all agree that scene was sufficiently awesome so don't even think about chosing without much thought.

alright, i'll take first stab at this. i think if i had to chose 2 emotions it would be happy and fear. these seem to be the opposite sides of the spectrum in living as a human. fear will keep you in check, and happiness is what we all try to achive in some way or another throughout our lives. considering the individual still has knowladge and can learn, you will still be able to distingish between right and wrong and remeber mistakes, since if you do something bad, you'll get a sence of fear to not do that since it took away happiness. and well, if you can only feel happiness as your other emotion, as long as your not in danger of your life you should be happy doing anything you want in life.

Pain and happiness.....

As stated..everybody wants to be happy....
And if you do something that hurts you...eg..pain..you'll remember...weather it be physical or emotional.

I would have to say bliss and understanding.
this way you have the feeling of complete happiness, but if the tragic or even bad is to happen i would have the ability to cope with it through understand..i mean afterall "things happen for a reason"

Hmmm....that would be good...but understanding really isn't an emotion. It's more a rationale than a state of mind. I can understand something without feeling anything.

a definition of understanding is to have sympathy or tolerance.

so imo in a way understanding can be perceived as an emotion

I would choose anger...and that feeling I get when I orgasm. Does that count?

I've been avoiding answering this cause i have been thinking about the consiquences of the emotions i would choose.. and I still dont know.. having only two emotions is uncomprehenceable.. I think of how many emotions I use(have) in a single day and its alot.. So I guess at this point im with ben.. I choose none... cause w/o them all im not me.
