Raced an old camero and a Chevy full size truck...
I was sitting at a light on a road that would lead me to a moderately whindy road and i look in my right hand mirror cause i hear a deep as rumbling behind me one car and in the other lane. I see an 80's about camero with headers, exhaust and from the sounds of the idle, it's got some internals done on the engine. and behind it is a chevy truck, one of the 4 wheel drive sierras or whatever. The light turns green and i wasn't thinking anything was gunna happen, cause why play with the little honda right?...but as the cars in front of us turn off, and there is no one else on the road except me the camero, and the truck, the camero guns it past me...so i guess i wanted to play, cause it is friday after all. So he slows down and waits for me, typical taunting tactic
 . I shift into second going about 40, and gun it, i pass him, and keep going, he stays back there for while semingly trying to catch up, and finnaly when he shifts he starts gaining fast (damn v8's  ) needless to say, he burned me. heh, is was exspected  . So now he's ahead of me, and we start hitting the turns a lil, and his friend catches up with us in the truck. He gets along side me, and stays there for a sec, and then i shift down again, and gun it, i stay ahead, for a long ass time, and then i slwo down, and he does a fly by, so i gun it again for fun, and he is staying ahead (v8 lol) so he stays ahead, and then we start hitting a turn, and i see his whole car sway to one side, so he slows down, and i keep gunning it cause my precious suspension, and i fly past him, after a sec or two of staying ahead (after reaching 80-90 ) he changes lanes in back of me, ehehhe, damn right . so, i had fun...one win, and one loss, but i dont' feel bad cause his engine was way bigger than mine....in fact, i'm suprized at how well i did. |
