Tell me your 1/8 miles times.
I have a Civic Ex '93 with these:
Dc Sports 4-2-1 2 1/4 pipping with Hooker maximun Flow exhaust. Upgraded ECU Short Shifter Dunlop 205-50/R16 Tires 16" Wheels Bypass Trick Matrix Intake My currently BEST time is 12.60s. I think thats preatty bad for my car.. I want to know what are the times that ppl are doing here.. Thanks! |

wow, that's ****ed, that means that your 1/4 mile time is like 25.80, and that's a really shitty time. I think my 1980' datsun b210 ran like a 22.50 or something... i could smoke your civic, lmfao.

ouch yeah hats not good. It doesnt mean your 1.4 is gonna be twice that though. My fastest et in my car was 16.93 and my 1/8 was between 10 and 11 at like 64 mph. So your looking at 18-19s:(

assuming that your acceleration is Constant, which more than likely will not be exactly constant,
Your 1/4 mile time would be 17.81 Seconds Not 25.8 seconds To get 25.8 seconds you would have to run 1/8 miles, stop the car and run a second 1/8 mile

alright, take the seats out, the gf out (no offense but she weights at least 100lbs, guessing), drop the spare fix a flat will do, if you got subs, take them out before racing, and lastly if you don't know already, learn where your grip point is
and slipping is when you change gears and you let off the clutch, but it takes a while to go to the next gear, it will like hang in the previous gear before it goes into the one you told it to go into and it may stray from the questoin, but i suggest lowering a bit |

ok take the spare out, its below in your trunk, fix a flat is hardcore, it just goes in your tire and fixes it
subs make bass, if you have them take them out the grip point is were you start to move when you take the clutch out damn you really do need classes |

You run with your girl in the car!?!? Ok now. Take her out of the car, remove the spare & subs if you have them. And work on your launch. I'd say 4000-4500RPM. Somewhere in there you'll find your sweet spot.

I don't recall. Its been about 2 years or so. I'm thinking it was about 84 on the trap. And I can't really give you a good guess on the 60ft. Sad thing is that for some reason I can't seem to beat a 16 with my Si. The again I've only been once and only been driving stick for a year. I finally got my 17's (heffer ass rims) off so I'll be going this Thurs provided they are open.... I hate winter.

Jeeze Im sorry I just dont see how a civic ex could do that with just intake and exhaust. The 97 Ex 5spd will run high 16s and the auto runs 17s. Is it still teh same engine the d16 whatever. Its just ahrd to believe. Is it a hatchback or a coupe?? man I must be doing something wrong because my accord with .6 more liters in teh engine and cai, exhaust only managed a 16.93. oh well.

it all depends....smaller wheels does not always = better time people like to think that but the truth is say you have 16 inchs wheels and 50 series tires and the wheel weighs 20 lbs each....you would actually get better times with a 17 inch wheel that weighed 13 lbs each with 40 series tires, its all about the weight of the wheel.....if you go down to a 14 inch wheel with 65 series tires and they are the same weight as your 16 inch with (I assume 50 series tires) your going to get around the same time unless the 14's weigh many many lbs less.

How much does a 98 civic Ex weigh??
I know my 96 accord dx weighs less than 3000. I just dont think a auto civic vs a auto accord will win depending on year. If its from 91-97 the accord will win if its a 98 and above and 4 clyinder the civic should win. The 5th gens are notas heavy as most people think. |

185/60/R14 = 32 pounds 205/50/R16 = 37 pounds 5 pounds would make a difference? |

93 Sedan 1.5 SOHC ran 16.4 @ 84.77 in the 1/4 and I think it's about 10.5 or so in the 1/8 but not sure cause I haven;t run a 1/8 alone as of yet..
