eliminating the stock distributor
What do I need to do to eliminate the stock distributor from my 97 civic HX motor or better yet what parts do I need. I need help ASAP

The distributor? Do you mean the ignition coil & unit?

Ok I read what u did but want I want to do is eliminate the stock distridutor completely. Is there an aftermarket coil setup to do this.

Honestly I wasn't aware that you could convert a Honda distributor type ignition to DIS. If you find the product post the link.
The big advantage is no moving parts. Less to break. A friend of mines has DIS in his truck. It came that way stock though.

you can make your own dis the only thing that's needed to FULLY eliminate the dist. (ie it's gone and there's a plugged hole where it was)
is a crankposition sensor, a plug for the dist. hole, a computer to read the sensor and send a spark signal to the coil or coils. CHECK OUT http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/fiat/10/
