i noticed that my car makes some weird noises lately when ideling. one is from the valves and lifters (needs a valve adjustament really bad) but the strainge part is that it does not make it at all the times. any ideas why is that ?

I have a kind of similar problem. Took it to the mechanic and he said that I have an exhaust leak. The car seems louder than it use to. So when I get a chance I'm a take it for a more detailed inspection. I know this doesn't help any but just thought I'd share

yeah mine has an exhaust leak in the flex pipe underneath the engine, and as soon as i fix my motor mount i'll get some $150 hedman headers (sort of the ex heders but for an ex)

I just lost my muffler today it broke off right behind the resonator. I'm glad though it would have cost me more if I lost my resonator too. It sounds so loud uncapped.
