Civic Hatch
Just a quick cop-evading story to make your day a little bit better... I was cruising down a street with 4 other people in my car near my house when I run across a nice 92-95 hatchback... I am pretty sure he had a b18c1 in there cause he had the engine code in vinyl on his front bumper... so he and I start pacing each other, then we both floor it at the same time... we are sticking pretty close to each other, even tho I have 5 total people in my car and he has only 2... we pop a hill going about 85, and right over the hill a cop had just pulled out of the gas station going the same way we were going

That sucks for the other guy. Did he not see the cop? I probably would've done the same thing if I thought I could get away with it. Than again my luck with members of law enforcement isn't real good.

I met up with the driver of the hatch a few days later as I was around the same area on my way to a different friends house... we pulled over and talked for a few minutes... he didnt blame me at all, he was a very cool guy... the traffic ticket he got was only for 60 in a 40 and street racing, because the cop wasnt running radar and we slowed down quickly... cop got no plates but did ask the driver of the hatch when he was writing the ticket if he knew me and what my name/address/etc was, but I didnt know the hatch guy then, so that worked... just a close call... I have been more lucky with cops than anyone I know- just a ticket for a rolling stop (which I got out of) and getting busted for... well... lets just call it "public indecency"

Yeah, pretty lucky.
![]() Anyway, the other guy should be able to get out of the "street racing" ticket pretty easily. Tell him to go to court and have him ask the cop (in front of the judge): "If I WAS street racing, just who in the hell was I racing WITH?" The cop will be unable to answer because he has no evidence of another car ever being there. Without the other car, there is no substance behind the charge. The cop can't just say: "Well I DID see SOMEBODY...but he got away." He can't really say that because such testimony is called "hearsay," which lacks any evidence to back it up. Tell your new friend to try it. He'll be happy when he gets out of it. As for the speeding ticket, well, good luck there. |
