				homemade sway bar

Well my civic didn't come with a sway bar, and instead of buying one. I kinda made my own. The civic Si comes with a 13mm sway and if you go bigger than that you're supposed to re-inforce the subframe so you don't rip it out.

Luckily my friend gave me his 14mm gsr sway bar since he upgraded his to an ITR. The size is close to stock so i couldn't wait to throw it on. Got some Si endlinks, only to find out that the bolts are too big for the bushings in the GSR sway bar. So i knocked out the bushings and replaced them... ![]() GSR swaybar ![]() ![]() AS you can see, too much space w/o a bushing... ![]() 3/8" steel fitting with an allen screw retaining bolt. Take the little screw shit out, and it makes a nice bushing. ![]() Needs a little persuasion to fit into the swaybar ![]() O0 ![]() Now use a 13/32" bit to open it up a bit since the endlink is a little bigger than 3/8" ![]() And then weld the fucker in place without any welding gas because that's the HMT way :6 Sorry for the shitty pics, i had to use my phone. But i think this is a pretty good upgrade for civic owners who don't have rear sway's. Total this project cost me 45 bucks, cause the endlinks are like 20 a piece from advance auto (40 a piece from honda), and the little steel collars are like 2.39 a piece, and the bar was free nigga.

ASR sells those metal bushings separately that go into the end of the bar, could have gotten them for like $5~8 shipped, if you ever need any parts like that again IM COng825810, he's the guy from ASR very helpful
