Fast and the Furious

hey this is a thread about anything from fast and the furious any mods from the cars u know or anything post it here...i would personally liek to know what kind of tires where on the black civics anyone know?and if anyone knows anyone or was there at the filming of fast and the furious because all those street racers and all[ where real people. i hope to hear

I don't know what kind of tires they used, but if your looking to get a good performance tire. I would recomend the new BF Goodrich G-Force t/a. It is almost "r" compound. I have the G-Force challenge video and that tire f*&king rocks. Can you say 1.3 lateral G's on the skid pad! Another good brand is Kumho. I know that they make a really good race tire also. Hope I spelled Kumho right.

hmm...F&F huh.Fake cars, bad acting, and bad story line. The race scenes were nice but the turbo eclipse was a non-turbo. I doubt the RX-7 was turbo and I dont even think that supra was turbo. The only real car was the charger and that wheel stand was enough to buy the movie for. =]

all 34rd gen rx7's are turbo, they had a write up on that car in some mag, i think turbo or somehitng, its a real veilside kit, and its got some engine work done, its about a 12 second car i belive, but am not possitive

the eclipse was a non-turbo, its runs high 14's with nitruos

the integra was nothing special, just a ls engine with your basic bolt ons

So, what your telling me is that the supra is a big piece of shit. HAHA $150,000. HAHA. Such pathetic times for a car they say is worth $150,000. 2001 ZO6 4.0sec 0-60 and would DESTROY that supra in the shalom. Plus its $50,000 at most.

Now back to my previous statment. The movie sucked. Only real car was the Charger.

Hell. I could make a GEO METRO faster than that supra with 100grand. Also, what color was the supra in the movie?? What color was the eclipse?? WHY THE **** IS IT ASS BACKWARDS ON THE COVER OF THE MOVIE. Some kind of advertising thing? I think they are just stupid but thats me.

I saw it a couple of times. The second time though, I noticed something kooky. In the initial "140mph trial" of the green GS-T, you'll notice he:

1) Starts in second gear
2) Shifts seven times. (7!)

www.turboimports.com has supras that will own the fawk out of that Supra anyday w/ much less than $100k in mods. one even runs 9's on stock internals. beat that buddy.

the fnf supra was a puer and utter show car drop ALL that extra weight and you might have a 10 sec car. But yea trans supra is a pure beast i read about it some where and it was a awsome car!!!

Lets see, the RX-7 and Supra are turbo'd in real life. I seen the magazine articles with the cars in them. Plus, Craig Liberman ownes the Supra or he used to own it.

well, im not denying there are faster supras out there, i know it, this orange fnf supra is rather slow. but its a all show with good go car. i migane if you cranked the boost up, it could pull some lower number. honstely the more and more i think of it fnf inacuratly portraied the import scene with NAWZ and these huge wings. yesterday, some old guy was like oh look a fast and furious car..... refering to mine, i was deeply insulted.......

Im not saying the cars are slow. Im saying they are pathetic for the amount of money put into them. Just cuz its a TT supra, that doesnt make it fast. Just cuz its a turbo rx-7, dont dont make it fast. My uncle is still building a pure show car (69 Camaro). But inorder for it to be a nice show car...EVERYTHING HAS TO BE DONE TO IT. The car is around 1400hp to the rear wheels. With anywhere from 80-100grand invested into it in the last 12 years. The supra's times are a discrace to anyone that owns a supra. The eclipse is just 100% rice because it doesnt even have direct port like they said it had in the movie. It has 1 NOS tank and speakers where they showed the NOS tanks in the movie. Which means those were empty and didnt do a damn thing. They tried to make a movie about imports but sadly. The car they should have used for the racing was that Civic. "HECTER'S". The turbo'd civic hatch without the hood in the first big race. That was probably the fastest car on the set. The skyline that 1 d00d with the scanners drove was badass also. All and all...bad acting, bad story line and FAKE cars. Only real car was the charger. They portraied all these cars to be 10 second cars which they werent. It would be kinda hard to fake a car doing a wheel stand though. That CHARGER was NICE!!

very true on all of that, but they can use stands to do the wheelie and edit them out with some movie magic. i dunno if the carger wheelie was real or not though

I heard that the charger wheelie was done using hydrolics but im not sure?
