New 2003 Honda Pilot

Heres some pics I came across. Does anyone have any more info on this vehicle?

here is the pre-production press release from honda

Body: All steel unit with passanger safety shelland dual side impact door beams

Engine: 3.5l, 24 valve, all aluminum SOHC-V6 with VTEC

Drive train: Honda VTM-4, full time four wheel drivewith electronically locking differntial. 5 speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with Honda Grade Logic Control

Suspension: front:Independent strut-type L arm, gas presurized socks and stabilizer bars. Rear: Independent multi-link with triling arm, gas presurized shocks and stabilizer bar.

Steering: Variable power assist rack and pinion

Braking: 4 wheel disk brakes w/ 4 channel ABS and electronic brake distribution

Towing: 3500lbs(4000lbs with boat)

Off-road: Ground Clearance: 8 in. Aproach/Departure/Brakover Angles: 28/21/21 degrees

Safety Features: (five star safety for all passangers). Dual side impact door beams, Dual stage/treshhold front airbags. Driver side airbag, passenger side airbag with Occupant Position Detection System. Three point seatbelt with pretensioner. Latch child seat anchor system.

what will be the size of the car ? Is it gonna be about the size of ford EXPLODER ?

looks to be the size of a ford escape... not a mini ute like a crv, but not as big as a trailblazer.

Escape and CRV are in the same class. They are more like crossover vehicles. i think it will go for the exploder

the honda pilot is pretty much the same size as the Acura MDX...its built on the same platform as the MDX, which got the platform from the Odyssey (to what i was told/read)
